Inspirational Moustaches

This wide earth is loaded with unique individuals. When I see some of the most unique, the cogs of my imagination automatically turn and turn.

For example, I once saw an thin, aging gentleman - not much taller than I am - in a clean tweed print suit. He held his chin high as he browsed the rows in the university bookstore. Within one second, my brain had him categorized as an intelligent, grandfatherly, professor type...until I saw the giant sun-dial tattoo on the back of his shiny head. Then I was a little bit scared of him. I wanted to make him the bad guy in my next novel. *teehee*

Today's post is dedicated to inspiring people in the interesting moustache category.

First up, this friendly looking fellow who makes me wonder if I can really trust him. He's either a friend of Scooby and Shaggy, or Jabba the Hutt...

Second, a man who is the spitting image of someone I go to church with. His stache looks like the perfect hiding place for an emergency peppermint...

Lastly, this one makes me think of Professor McGonagall. Remember how she changed into a cat? If she would have married, maybe this would have been her husband...

Maybe my good friend, Lauren, will stop by and share a favorite memory of her families annual Moustache May in which all the men grow a stache, take pictures of their progress, and then get together to brag about how good it looks.

Have you ever been inspired by a moustache?

This is such a cute post. I was just thinking of mustaches the other day. My dad has always had one and I can't imagine what he'd look without one.

Great post. Loved the cat!

My hubby is growing a beard for an upcoming national Civil War reenactment that we will be participating in. It's like living with a new man!

What a fun post. And I love Lauren's family tradition of having a contest. Beats the heck out of the Easter egg decorating tradition I tried to start (until everyone moved away).

That cat is brilliant. Ha.

I do feel there's something slightly unnerving in the look of the second gentleman...Hmm.

What a great collection of moustaches!
The only guy who works in our office has started growing one... and it is the talk of the water cooler! lol

I love that kitty. My nephew showed up with mutton chops and a mustache last Christmas. We decided he looked like a president from the past.

Hi Michelle .. great pics - and guys with moustaches make a statement don't they.

There was an interesting snippet in a documentary this week about the British in Calcutta - and how they grew moustaches that then influenced the locals to follow suit - and to this day they consider it a necessity to have a moustache!!

They have these competitions don't they ... fun post - thanks - Hilary

Eeek! Mustaches are not attractive to me! lol
However, you're right. There are tons of interesting people out there that I'd just love to interview.
That guy with the tattoo sounds like he'd have an interesting history.

What a fun post (thank you) that makes one think (thank you). Since I'm a cat person, dapper kitty gets my vote. I've wondered upon occasion why some men like facial hair. I personally don't find it attractive, think it might itch. But elaborate mustaches usually belong to characters!

I don't know if I've been inspired, but scared is a good way to describe it. ;)
